Sedan-Like Fuel Efficiency

The base model 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged motor is the most fuel-efficient, delivering around 26 mpg around town and 30 mpg when driving the freeway. That is pretty close to many sedans on the market. The other option is the upgraded 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged motor which offers significantly more performance producing 252 horsepower. Drivers will notice the difference immediately. Nevertheless, the 2.0-liter engine still delivers excellent fuel economy at around 28 mpg on the highway.

Base Model Value

At just over $26,000, the base model 2021 Terrain gives buyers true value-for-money. Standard features such as the active noise cancelation and the premium-feeling interior give the Terrain a sense of luxury. GMC’s Pro Safety Plus is also part of the standard package and more can be added as options. Pro Safety Plus provides drivers with safety features that include following-distance indication, automatic high beam, automatic panic braking on pedestrian detection, and lane-keeping technology.

More Than a Family SUV

While very appealing to families, the 2021 Terrain offers more than meets the eye. The standard motor is capable of towing 1,500 pounds. The upgraded 2.0-liter engine combined with the optional tow package allows this small crossover SUV to tow a full 3,500 pounds. The off-road driving mode gives the Terrain sufficient capability when extra traction is required if asphalt is unavailable.

Good Ride and Handling

Being a smaller SUV, the 2021 Terrain handles and drives slightly better than most larger truck-based SUVs. The Terrain might not handle quite as sharply as a sports sedan but it does deliver the driving confidence you would expect from a two-row SUV. The ride is comfortable, whether around the city or for longer freeway journeys. The upgraded suspension of the Denali trim provides for an exceptionally soft, yet firm, driving experience.

IntelliLink Infotainment

GMC’s highly reputable IntelliLink infotainment system is also standard on all trims. It is considered to be one of the most natural infotainment systems to use on the market. The touchscreen display is highly responsive, easy to understand, and binds effortlessly with Apple and Android smartphones.

Spacious For People and Cargo

The Terrain offers a comfortable and spacious ride whether you are in the first or second row. Ventilated front seating and heated rear seating are available as upgrades. Cargo space can be maximized by the rear and a front passenger seat that fold flat.

Great Reliability

Above average for the class, the 2021 Terrain achieved a 3.5 out of 5.0 dependability rating. This Terrain is a crossover SUV that you can drive and own with confidence, also knowing dealership maintenance costs are comparatively low when compared with similar vehicles available on the market.

There is a lot more to discover and loads of optional extras to take your 2021 Terrain to the next level. Find out more with Crenwelge Motors GMC today.
